At the seashore

I close my eyes and smell the sea
coconut scented skin

oil sheen glittered with sugar sand

Seagulls scream for scraps
of childrens offerings
Books teepeed on towels
forgotten by heavy lidded eyes
waves lulling me to sleep

Leave me at the seashore
it’s where I want to be
